Most Music Morning Show

Mon - Fri: 05:00 AM - 10:00 AM

The “Most Music Morning Show” is LIVE with Abby & Bill – it’s bright, fun and family-friendly, with lots of music, frequent weather and news updates from WAFF 48, plus traffic reports from Bill Taylor, and up-to-date information about what’s happening in and around the Tennessee Valley!

Our Traffic Guy, also Bill Taylor – keeps you up-to-date on your morning commute, and your trip home in the afternoon by giving you the heads-up on traffic coming in and going out of the Huntsville, Madison, Athens, and Decatur areas!

In the midst of all the negative in the news, Abby will be bringing you some “Happy Headlines”, each weekday morning at 6:45 and 7:45am! Listen to hear some HAPPY news for a change!

It’s a morning show feature here on Mix 96.9…because I feel like we could all use a little more good news in our lives…all bad news has been CANCELLED – at least for the moment.

Presented by Cullman Regional Medical Center! Helping you get better by being better every day!

  • Three Huntsville Athletes are Italy bound to compete in the Special Olympics figure skating competition. Beth Allen, Cody Wheatley and Deeb Habchi…are putting the final touches on their hopeful gold medal routines. The Special Olympics in Italy takes place Mar 8-15. We wish them the best of luck!
  • A video rental place in Idaho closed…but the owner did something pretty cool for a longtime customer with Down syndrome.  Renting movies has been part of Christina’s routine for 15 years. So David created a special place in his convenience store so she can still go rent movies.
  • The Cleveland Clinic held a special father-daughter dance for 10-year-old Ava, who has spent over 200 days waiting for a new heart. Since she couldn’t attend her school’s dance, the hospital recreated it just for her. Her dad hopes this reminds everyone that there’s always light in the darkness.
  • James Harrison, known as “The Man with the Golden Arm,” passed away at 88 after a lifetime of donating blood plasma. His rare antibody helped treat a disease in unborn babies. James donated every two weeks until age 81. With 1,173 donations, he saved over 2.4 million babies’ lives.

March 3 – 7

It’s Coffee & Donuts for Abby & Bill’s winners this week with a $20 Angel’s Island Coffee gift card and 2 dozen Bigfoot’s Little Donuts!

It’s those news stories that are true, but on the “crazy” side, bringing sometime laughter, and other times leaving listeners scratching their heads! Crazy But True can be heard at 6:15 and 8:20 each weekday morning!

It’s becoming a trend and this Dog wedding is CBT

Not only was it a Grand Ceremony….but it took place at 540 year old castle. With hundreds of guests…..and their pets….in attendance. Poppy just married a doggy social media influencer. Milo has 14,000 followers on Instagram. So for Poppy….it was quite the catch! The two families spent
months…and probably lots of money….preparing for the very special occasion. The main course of the wedding was an outdoor BBQ, which delighted many of the “tailed guests”. There were Hound cocktails, a Barcuterie board and of course wedding cake. The big day ended with the happy couple’s first dance. We hope
Poppy and Milo enjoy many happy years together. A dog wedding….at a Castle….and it’s…

Crazy But True!

Abby’s Facebook

Originally from Rock Falls, Illinois, Abby has been in radio for almost 30 years, and in the Huntsville market her entire career, with the last 16 at Mix 96.9. She started out as the midday host for the first 9 years, and has since transitioned into host of the morning show.

Abby loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and her beautiful granddaughter – eating at her favorite Mexican restaurant and most of all shopping for shoes! Her favorite vacation destination is the beach! One thing she couldn’t live without…a good cup of coffee anytime of the day!

Being from Connecticut, Bill is a huge New England Patriot fan! His career in radio began there and has taken him through Massachusetts, Central Pennsylvania…and along the journey, he’s met some pretty cool people – Sting, Van Halen, Aerosmith, TobyMac, Lauren Daigle and more!

Bill and his wife have three kids, two of which attend the University of Alabama Huntsville, and they all definitely take advantage of the fact that his ears “are shot”!

As the Mix 96.9 Morning Show Co-Host and “Traffic Guy”, Bill adds his quick wit and humor to the morning show along with making sure you know everything you need to know in order to get to and from work safely Monday through Friday morning and afternoon.

When not hanging out in the Mix 96.9 studio, he and his wife take advantage of all the great sights and sounds, and, of course, the local food scene in and around the Huntsville area!
